    Hi radders

For any practical enquiry I would recommend that you contact our helpline.  We have a team of advisers that should be able to help you explore your options.

    Hope that helps, Justine

Legally you are only obligated to pay for maintenance.

However, many non-resident parents also pay half of ongoing costs like school trips and school uniform etc.

Technically you are only obligated to pay for childcare that you use for your contact time, though obviously this will leave their mother at a huge financial disadvantage and your children by default. However, if your ex is claiming 85% of the childcare costs via Universal credit you could suggest that you pay 7.5% of the childcare costs per month.
