My children love with me and have had 3 weeks no contact with their father. The father lives with his mum who works as a key worker in care. He’s wanting the have the children again this weekend, overnight and the mother is worried as she’s a key worker.
Is it okay for the children to go to the house he shares with his mum, so that he can still keep contact.
The government guidelines are that co parents can and should continue as usual with visitation at their own discretion. So basically you can continue visitation if you both want to or you can both decide its for the best to temporarily put it on hold. However if you have a court order you’re obliged to honour that unless the both of you agree that you want to put a temporary hold on visits during lockdown.
My ex and I have both agreed to suspend visits because our youngest has asthma and he also lives with his parents who would be at higher risk also. So he has been having extra video calls with the kids instead and they exchange video messages and he sends parcels for them.
