Hello I’m Marr from Nuneaton. I split with my ex in July she left stating depression and we’d be better off without her.

Tried my best to support her but it gets thrown back in my face. She has a drug problem and I’m not prepared for her to be around our daughter unsupervised.

She’s become very abusive and has threatened me. She’s now even dripping poison in our daughters ear.

I’ve an appointment with a solicitor tomorrow to see about sole custody and I’m wondering if anyone has any advice.

    Hi Marr.

Sorry to hear what you’re going through. If you are worried that your daughter may be at risk with your ex, you will need to take steps to ensure she is kept safe. I’d recommend taking a look at some of our online information about your options: https://www.gingerbread.org.uk/information/contact-arrangements/#safety

Your own safety is also important. If you are experiencing abuse and threatening behaviour, we’d recommend getting support and advice for yourself too by calling a domestic violence helpline. More information is available here: https://www.gingerbread.org.uk/information/separating/safety/

    All the best,
    Faye at Gingerbread
