    Hiya Guys,

I’m completely new to this site. A single mum to a 13 month old and have been a single mum since my daughter was 7 months. Although, I felt I was on my own in this after the 1st month of my daughter being born.

I just really want to say Hi, maybe make some new friends in similar situations and even join some groups (not sure there are any locally) i’m From cornwall.

Saying hi back – you can always set up your own group. All the best.

Saying hi too…im not near you, but I am a single mum for the second time round…first time with my sons who are now 26 and 23, for 17 yrs! Now at 46 a single mum again since my daughter was 3 months old , shes 3 now. It can be tough but my sons are fantastic young men and my daughter is an exhausting delight! So say hi if you want….and be proud of who you are and the great job you are doing x

Hi I’m not near Cornwall but also want to make new friends on this site im a single mum of 2 boys 8 and 12. I know what you mean when u say u feel alone in all this there dad still has contact but isn’t very helpful to me in things like school holidays and dumps him for his social life quite regularly.

Thanks for the replies guys, it’s great to know that there are others out their in the same boat. I think the worst time is weekends, everyone is doing their own family things so it’s my daughter and I, which is lovely and we do great things but I would love for her to have playmates on the weekends too. Hi pebbles. I’ve got 2 grown up children and 2 young ones. I used to take them to indoor soft play area. Anything like that near you?

Hi Pebbles, can’t you invite a child and parent around some time? It would be good for you too.

    All the best.

    Hi Pebbles

i know exactly how you feel – I dread the weekends and school holidays.  I’m in Cornwall too – single working Mum to a 5 year old Mum. I’m not from the area I now live so don’t have a very large support network. Happy to meet up for a coffee and play date one weekend.
