Just quickly. My daughter is 8 years old, her father has never wanted anything to do with her since before she was born. He reluctantly had a DoE with CSA here before he ran off to Spain. I am a great believer in if he can’t be bother to be there for her physically and emotionally the very least is he can contribute to her financial needs. Just a little bit of something I can show her did (not sure why I spin it in a positive light other than she needs to make up her own mind about him)
I finally heard about Remo who can help claim maintenance from absent parents who flee to other Countries. I put in our application last June and since then been chasing and chasing. They seem to be very dead slow and stop. So much so I got them to give me the details of the corresponding office in Spain and chased them myself. They responded very quickly and explained this side hadn’t provided them with enough details to track him down so had requested it from Interpol. This was January and awaiting another response after a chase a few days ago to both offices.
I wondered how many of you have had to use this approach and if there are any success stories ?
