Recently the children lost their mum and suddenly in an instant i have 3 children to be mum and dad too. ( 12,6 and 4). ive barely been back to work as one or other of the kids will be either sick or madly missing their mum and ive needed to be off to comfort them. No work equals no money and as i have a mortgage it wont be too long till the bank comes knocking. Trying to deal with their emotions etc. Anyway, the point of me writing is to ask how others cope balancing work/ life and also to ask if you think a new start may help. Im looking at selling the house and renting in a new area near the sea. Selling the house would free up some cash allowing me to spend more time concentrating on them for a while as i wont need to work for a while. Thank you so much for reading this….M
I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with this, it’s a terrible situation. Have you checked to see what help you’re entitled to from the government? I imagine there will be something. I’d suggest contacting the job centre or a bereavement charity.
As for selling up and moving away, I would really think long and hard about it. Your kids have suffered such an enormous loss, would adding even more change and upheaval be good for them?
I really hope you find away out of this tough time, and know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and you will get there.
