Hi,  I suddenly became a ‘single parent’ nearly three years ago, at the time I was so devastated that my ex of 22 years  had walked away from us I really don’t know how I got through each day…. Anyway I did and I survived!!  At nearly 21 and nearly 15 My kids are now ‘grown up’ and quite independent now so has anyone got any tips about how you rebuild a life for yourself and even possibly dating again…..  (definitely not dating sites though,,,tried and cant be doing with the weirdos)….

My only advise would be to not focus on finding a partner, but consider who you were before you became mum. What were your interests then? Whether that be dancing, swimming, photography or cycling, it doesn’t matter…the point is get back out there socialising, attend a class/club and you’re more likely to meet like minded folks.
