Does anyone else find that there is price discrimination sometimes as a single parent. I was just looking to book theatre tickets and there was a discount for a family of four but only if there were two adults. So I actually have to pay more as a mum with three kids than two parents and two kids. I have written to the theatre to try and get a discount

    hi,

I haven’t really noticed. usually when i book tickets for theme parks, there’s option for family of 3, 4 etc. I have 2 kids so works out well. it good that your complaining. hopefully they make changes.

Yes, alas this is true and most establishments don’t care to change. Legoland, theaters, cinemas all punish non-traditional families.

You’ve done the right thing writing. I’d also recommend Twitter; a lot of these companies are very sensitive to their online image.

    Slowely, hopefully things are changing..
