Hi I was hoping for some advice I recently made a claim for personal independence payment as I suffer with PTSD I was told I would receive the enhanced mobility as I suffer with psychological distress on any journey however I’ve only been given the standard rate. It states on the award ‘ you said you have difficulty moving around there is no evidence to support physical or cognitive impairment mental health restrictions and not considered under the scope of this activity it is therefore reasonable to suggest that you can stand and move’

I thought the high court ruling had changed this?

    Thank you

    Hi Selina,

I’m sorry you’ve had no replies, it’s nothing personal, it just happens sometimes.

You don’t mention what exactly was the case at the high Court so its difficult for folk to comment. Without giving too many details can you give us a bit more info please? I’m sure that there is someone on the forum that could help or if not the gingerbread staff will definitely know how to help.

    Good luck.

    Mark
