hopefully my final time posting to this very helpful forum.  Last week I had my final hearing. All was settled before the judge needed to intervene.

Son and I have been given permission to relocate!!

Its been a long and hard journey, but do worth the struggle.

My sons father stated originally that he did not want my son to move as he would not get to spend enough time with him  and he wanted him to be educated close to where he lives. He never attended parents evening, sports days and very few school events. He turned up late most weeks and often changed his day short notice.

I have offered extra, weeks, inset days and bank holidays moving forward, there is a member of my family that has offered him a place to stay with our son to prevent long journeys for him.

All of these offers have been rejected, he does not want extra holidsay time, Inset days and has refused to stay with people he has known for in excess of ten years!  He can’t be that desperate for extra contact! He also stated he was going to reduce his work hours to improve his time with our son which has appeared to be untrue.

I have also offered to share the travelling and even that was not good enough, he expected me to do it all!

At least our son gets to go to an excellent school, live in a beautiful area and live close to family and friends.
