So my daughter is currently owed over £6000 in maintenance that has built up over 7 years of dodging and refusing to pay. After 7 years CMS are still saying they don’t even have his bank account or work details. They’ve been telling me for the past 3/4 years that they’ll be taking him to court for the arrears and that they’ll be asking the judge for prison time because of his constant refusal to pay. We’ve got orders to collect straight from his wages which were supposed to of been put in place like 5/6 years ago after they spent over 12 months trying to convince him to “do the right thing”. I have restraining orders against him because of physical abuse to both me and my child. Abuse that he admitted to and never got arrested or got prison time for. Now the CMS are saying they can’t take any further action as ******** is now on benefits. I am sick of this going on. They’ve sent bailiffs after him. He, on both occasions, agreed to set up a payment plan but, surprise surprise, never actually did. All I’ve had over 7 years is excuses as to why they can’t be bothered to do their damn job. I would very much like as much help as possible to take on the CMS and my highly abusive ex. Yknow I’ve had to move 5 times because of thus s.o.b’s threats against myself and my daughter. I’m having to move again after he threatened to kidnap my daughter from school. He actually rang her school (no idea how he found out where she goes in the first place.) and threatened teachers over the phone when they told him they’ve got copies of all my orders and he would be arrested if he ever came near the school. I’m tired of running around the country. I’m tired of being ignored by CMS. How can a government agency be allowed to run like this? I really need help.
