Im 45 and have three boys aged 23, 18 and 8. I’ve been separated from my husband now for just over 2 years (not divorced yet) but lived apart under the same roof for a year and half. I have now taken the plunge and moved out with my 8 year old to another area leaving my older boys with their dad which hasn’t been easy at all and even though their young adults I miss them terribly but I know their fine.

Even though I have my young son with me I am starting to get rather lonely so would be lovely to chat to people in the same boat so if there’s anyone that wants to say hi to me I’d be really grateful

Hi, no problem, I’m the same, tend to dip in and out. I have one girl, aged nearly 21, who coincidentally attends the University of Hertfordshire, in Hatfield!! It’s a small world, isn’t it. My daughter is based at home and I drive her into uni when she needs to go. Bit forward of me (and even weirder to say ‘forward’) but when she’s back at uni in a fee weeks, maybe meet up for a coffee? No pressure. 😘 Xx

Oh I’d love to that’ll be great. Its nice to finally find someone in the same boat that’s close to me!

My older sons (23 & 18) live in Hatfield with their dad and as we still get on really well even though we’re separated I spend a lot of time in Hatfield still. I’m actually over tomorrow and again Wednesday and Thursday.

I work in a school kitchen and go back next Tuesday and my 8 year old goes back to school next Wednesday but when your free let me know. I have a lot of time on my hands where I get bored lol xx

Small world!! I’ve always wanted to work in a school kitchen. Take home the leftovers being the main reason, haha!!

Not yet got the new term uni schedule and she doesn’t go back until 17th or thereabouts but I’ll be in touch. Xx
