    Hello All

I hope your well.  I am interested to know if there is anyone out there who is newly divorced or about to be – similar to me based in SE London – hoping to connect to share experience and support.

Seems like everything is following a new pattern and I have to adjust etc in a healthy way to progress.  If anyone is in a similar boat please let me know.

Some of the challenges I am now pondering :

    1) Xmas – ex usually buys the tree and brings it home – child wants the same this year but is like to start new tradition but not to upset child. Child comes first but need to figure a balance

    2) Child sharing over festive period – I really don’t want to sit down have Xmas dinner with ex … must be a solution so that my child is not upset etc so it fits in

    3) Costs controls etc … this is an odd year how to manage

and a few other things so I’d really appreciate anyone with similar issues to PM me abs maybe we can connect.

Thanks  for reading my post and have a wonderful Sunday 😊

    Hey,

I am going through similar, have moved out although not divorced yet.

I agree with you about starting a new tradition for the tree, make it fun with you or maybe get it delivered and focus on the decorating?

xmas, I’m dreading this decision. I’m guessing we might split with one having Xmas day and one Boxing Day. Will be strange. But, it’s just a day, I’m hoping the kids will be distracted by presents and family anyway.

it’s weird to think of these things though ….

Hey TreacleThunder, I’ve always done it so one parent has them xmas eve and morning then drives them over to the ex for xmas dinner and Boxing Day. Next year swap. Swap also for NYE, makes it fair on both parents and the kids 🙂

Enjoy xmas both, it’s what we remember..
