I’m a single parent of 2 older children and I’ve just started to think about wanting to go out meet new people and hopefully start  dating again . I don’t particularly fancy doing the online dating apps .

i used to go out with friends but since lockdown a lot has changed .

im thinking of joining some local sports clubs, but does anyone know if there are any single parents that just meet up weather it’s during the week weekend for dinner for drinks would be nice to make some more friends but also hopefully meet someone x

    Hi Rosie

I don’t particularly like dating sites either but since lockdown everyone has become increasingly reliant on modern technology.

I think we come from a generation that met people in bars or pubs or at work. But why do that when you can swipe left (or right, I don’t know) on a screen at home. You can’t swipe people in the pub 😂

Luckily places are still open but I would still exercise caution even when going to the shops.

You could try a few dating sites and see where you go from there. You can chat to potential partners for as long as you like until you are ready to meet up 😀 if you dont like them then you can just block them! 😂
