Hi, completely new to this. Was wondering if there are any Meet Up groups in the North West area e.g. Wigan, St Helens, Lancashire and Merseyside?

    Thanks.

I’m a member of a Gingerbread group in Sefton (parts of West Lancs and Merseyside) but the person who runs it announced last April that they were going to step down due to the group not really taking off and there has only been one post since so I think it is effectively closed down now.  You might have more luck in one of the bigger cities like Liverpool or Manchester

Hi there.  I live in Cheshire.  I too tried to find some meetups in the area but had no success.  How are things going for you?

    Ahh my story.

I have a 9yo boy and a baby girl arriving in about 8 weeks.

My son’s dad is really good and they see each other all the time.

My baby’s dad, well he’s not really around. Looking for friends/support 🙂

    How about you?

I have 2 boys aged 12 & 9. I am divorced. Had a horrible three years after my ex turned 40 where she started to cheat and lie. She became a totally different person.

6 weeks eh. Wow. I remember my boys births. Amazing. Bet your excited and nervous.

sorry to hear the dad of your baby is not around. That’s so sad.

i came on here to try and help people as I have been through a lot and am nearly out the other side now. I also want to make new friends also.

have you not got family around?

Yes I’m excited now, there’s a couple of complications though so worried too.

Well yeah but it’s his loss he’s had the opportunity to be as involved as he wanted, he’s chose not.

Oh yes I’m very lucky family and friends all close by I’m not alone. It’s nice to make new friends though and sometimes easier to speak to people you’re not really close to 🙂

Good you have your support network and as you say his loss which he will probably one day really regret.

Yes it is definitely easier to speak to someone you are Not so close too. Does that mean you have something you would like to chat about?

Nothing in particular at the moment 🙂

I had a tough week last week with appointments and hospital and stuff but this week has been good, I can’t complain

Oh well that’s good to hear.  I know the appointments thing is a stress.

Are you at the, get the baby out of Me stage where you feeling a bit like a beached whale? 😂😂😂

Make the most of it as it will soon be sleepless nights eh.

its a bit unusual as most people I talk to have some issues to deal with… 🤔
