evening all, I’m new here and after a quick search I’ve not been able to find the answer to my question so I’m wondering if anyone has come across my problem before..

When my ex & I divorced 8 years ago we used an online solicitor (ex was in charge & I didn’t question back then..) we agreed he would pay 20% maintenance for our 2 children. When our daughter left to start university this reduced to 15% and he paid up every month. But I’ve never known if what he paid was the correct amount as he wouldn’t show me a payslip – and recently he admitted as much by stating he had paid ‘enough’ as opposed to the correct amount… he’s now trying to persuade our son to leave college and get an apprenticeship so he can stop paying maintenance..

is there anything I can do or have I left it too late? It’s taken me all this time to recover from the mental anguish he caused and I previously never dared question him…

    any advice is appreciated..

You can request sight of a p60.

if he refuses go straight to cms.

    Hi

You can ring the Gingerbread helpline on 0808 802 0925 for advice about the Child Maintenance Service and to explore if you might benefit from also  seeking  legal advice.
