    Hi everyone,

I am a single mum with limited family and social network. I have two teenagers and a 3 year old who’s dad is not on the scene. I often experience loneliness/isolation and weekends it’s mainly me and my little boy, Although I love him I do find it draining and stressful at times especially when he’s bored and wanting to play with others his own age. I’m currently on sick from work with depression/anxiety due to personal circumstances and stress from juggling a thousand things at once. I just wanted to reach out in hope that I may meet other parents in similar situations. I’m hoping to build on new friendships for myself and my son. Fingers crossed 🤞 and  thanks in advance for taking the time to read this post.

Hi YMiller1307 I’m in a similar position off work with depression so if you need a chat on here or wherever let me know. The best advice is keep juggling because once things settled for me and the craziness of finding a new house and getting my life back on track faded I was faced with the loneliness and I feel like that’s much worse. Just keep swimming as Dory would say 🙂

Loneliness is so hard to deal with as a single parent keep juggling as stated above. I have a 6yr old adorable little girl and juggling a full time job… leaves no time  for anything else. All I can say is look after yourself and be kind to yourself coz you need to be the best for your little boy. Easier said than than done. But with a good support network and community, I am sure we will beat the depression and get back on track. I hope you this community will help you get back on track.

You are not alone <span style=”background-color: #fbfbfb; color: #1a1919; font-family: Lato, sans-serif;”>YMiller1307. I am newly separated, two boys aged 11 and 13. I have no family or friends around. I work full time, yet feeling of loneliness and not belonging is eating me up. But what can we do if not pushing through</span>

Agree with Kikie that it’s really important to be kind to yourself. Sounds like you are doing a great job keeping things going.

    It will get easier.

    💐
