Hey Dledog18, I’m not from the Lincoln area but I’ve walked the nursing path whilst being a single parent, it’s hard work. The shifts, the assignments, the constant silly box ticking procedures at uni, some days you’ll contemplate throwing the towel in, but don’t. You didn’t come this far to give up now, look at your finances, use you’re family/friends to help out with childcare whilst you work the shifts you need to, it’ll be a constant juggling act whilst on placement. Uni will have a hardship fund, don’t be afraid to access the support if needed. Before you know it you’ll be graduating and there’s tremendous career opportunities I’m sure you’re aware. Everything I did, I did it to provide a secure future for my children and I don’t regret it one bit
