    Hi all,

I’m looking for some legal advice regarding a recent incident involving a somewhat questionable DNA profiling website and a mentally unstable ex partner.

I want to know what rights my child has, or any child for that matter, when their DNA is taken without consent and sent to an online budget profiling company.

There is a lot of information around in the news at the moment regarding the lack of security on these websites and it worries me that my child’s personal data has been made vulnerable, and that she has somehow been violated.

If anyone knows anything about this or can recommended someone familiar with this kind of law, please do get in touch.

    Kind regards

Thank you for your advice, it’s interesting to hear my child can pursue it in future.

It’s very frustrating that a child’s privacy can be invaded like that, but I suppose it’s similar to having their photographs uploaded to social media without their consent. I would have thought DNA was more serious, I suppose I will have to wait and see if and when she decides she wants to take legal action.
