    Hello

I finally ended things with my emotionally abusive and manipulative husband in March. The children and I had mostly been living/staying at my parents’ house nearby anyway due to his work schedule (and my wanting to avoid him). I want to collect my things but he is saying I can’t because of social distancing regulations. He has also however made it clear he wants me to not be in the house. I have searched and searched online but can’t see a definitive answer. If it makes any difference, we both own the house. Thank you x

I would say your best bet here would be to phone your local police station and ask them for advice on what you can do here. Im sure if you explain you have children and things they need are in that house it could be arranged that you could go and collect while iur ex is at work or he could go for a walk for an hour and give you a chance to get some things. That way you’re still maintaing social distancing. Speak to your local police and see what they say. Hope this helps
