I thought I would share this great resource that I stumbled upon whilst looking for some male mentor ship for my 15 year son. He’s a good kid and he has interests in engineering and technology etc, i stumbled upon a group called ‘lads need dads’ which sounded great. Unfortunately we’re in West Yorkshire and this group is based Essex, not a national programme. I suppose my entry is 2 fold….to share what I found but also to try to find support similar to this within our locality. If there’s any joiners/mechanics, mature responsible male role models in West Yorkshire that would share their practical experience with a teen with an interest that would be great. He loves the outdoors too and is booked to complete a dry stone walling course in July.

No good for me either but I struggle too. My son has his karate sensei and his male swimming teacher, and oddly, the guy who cuts his hair.

But his primary school is wholly staffed by women and he’s definitely growing out of it. He goes to senior school in September and I hope his maths & IT  teachers are men at least..

    Hope you get sorted 😊
