When I first joined gingerbread about a month ago I was feeling a bit lonely and sad. And although the relationship that ended with me being a single parent ended 12 years ago and it no longer makes me sad, I hope my experiences have helped others.
I’ve also made a friend on here that I would like to meet eventually.
I’m planning on patching things up with a few people and joining a few local writing/poetry/books clubs next month.
Me and my son have spent the day in Southport to go and see the Avengers (awesome btw) even though my wages were rubbish due to sickness last week.
Due to start college in September but may change subject choice. It will be accountancy or animal care.
As for romance I’ve had no offers yet but I’m not bothered for tonight I’m staying in the warmth with what is left of Easter chocolate.
Hope you are enjoying this soggy windy weekend! 😀😀😀
You sound like you are in a good place. I was supposed to go out tonight but rubbish weather plus a wobble day have decided to stay in and watch a good film instead, sometimes you know what’s best for you (i am 4 months separated).
I hear the Avengers is good, randomly we recently saw the Thor?and ironman waxworks at Madame Tussauds in Blackpool (highly recommend as a different day out!)
I use the meetup app now which has been great as its helped me get back out and sociable again 🙂gives you lots to look forward to (i would never have used it whilst married as would have been too shy) the best thing about being separated and a single parent is that you have to step out of your comfort zone which I really needed 🙂
