    Hi Jana,

Just saying hello and hope you find a friend/s. I’m in Dartford and joined Gingerbread in 1983 as a single dad (Yes i am OLD! now) children grown up so feeling lonely again. I noticed your post because of your name Jana as its the name of my daughters moher who came from Slovakia. Are you Slovakian or Czech ? Just wondered ? Anyway, best wishes and hope you find a friend/s.

Hi, it’s really nice to know about you. I’m sure you’re been an amazing dad and you’re still rocking it. I’ve been a single mom for about 3 months now. First month was a nightmare, but I must say it does get better with time. Although what’s to come next is daunting regarding child custody and court procedures and divorce, omg I have no idea how I’m going to cope with all that. The loneliness is the worst part, I don’t know why even when I find friends i kind of shut myself out after a while. And in regards to where I’m from i was born in Dubai but did my education and grew up in Bangladesh as my family is from there. If you’re ever in North London it would be nice to see you 😊

im currently going through separation and it’s only been a month…. The loneliness is the hard part. I’m also in Islington. I’ve got 2 boys under the age of 5.

Hi Deniz, I’m sorry it’s still fresh for you, just want you to know that it will get better with time you just gotta keep holding on and reminding yourself that you’re gonna make it through this! Let’s do something for the kids together, I’m new in Islington so what do you suggest?

    Hi Jana,

I’m free most of this week after 11am. Milner Square is a good space for children under 5 (not sure how old your child/children are). Asteys Row or Highbury fields are also both good playgrounds.

Let me know what you think
