I am a single dad with a 2 month-old baby. And I am in a panic. I’m gonna go back to work soon, and I have to find a nanny though I don’t want to. Any thoughts?
Go to your local council website and you will find child care approved by council. They are ofsted registered. Good luck. Hope you are successful finding someone
You’re doing awesome!
for a nanny, ask on local FB groups for recommendations too, nothing better than word of mouth.
As a single father and primary carer to a baby you may be entitled to universal credit which could give you longer off work. I can’t imagine how tough it must be to leave little one so soon!
Heads up – the 4 month sleep regression DOES pass ❤️
I’m a single mum with 4 month old baby and in a panic as well. So I understand you perfectly. Only I can’t pay for nanny, even I don’t want to lieve my little baby with someone as he is to small.
Hi, im the same with a 5 month old due to go back to work in December as cant afford to stay off any longer. Father isnt in her life at all his choice. She has acid reflux and has never been away from me i don’t want to leave her i hardly have any friends outside of work it is so hard for all of us. Be nice to chat to both of you knowing we are all in the same boat. I wish it was easier.
As echoed by others, it does get easier and if you can afford to stay at home longer it’ll be best for the child’s development and bonding. I’m a single mum who had to go through pregnancy alone, moving to a new place with no friends and family then lockdown happened. I don’t know how I did it but I survived all the pains and tears, still a struggle but getting there.
