Hi, just looking for a little advice really, basically ive left the army medical grounds struggled to get a roof over my head however due to my sons birth finally got somewhere, its been a mental rollercoaster to say the least, leading to a relationship brakedown, I’m now homeless again & just need a home basically I work full time have my son 50/50 with his mum, ive left everything too her so she didnt move down south with him.. i get dads get really bad stigma & im doing my very best by him, its been this way for almost 6 months, ive still got nowhere with a home for me & little man.. just feel like a sorry excuse of a father, any advice would be great.
Ive tried shelter, same old apply with council, but ive been there litterally after debating my case get offered a waiting list for a 1 bed flat.. like ive got my son 50/50 so he needs his own space.. 🙄 endless circle of crap, honestly not surprised male mental health is on a uprise.
Honestly mate I work on a mental health unit full time, couldnt afford a private rent on my wages.. ive tried that calculator thing & it says im not entitled to anything benefit wise 🙄makes you question why 9/10its homeless blokes you see on the streets ay.
Im intouch with saffa now but again its “get intouch with council” im on waiting lists for housing associations now.. but apparently ive gotta wait for people too want too move out or something 🙄, ive got a place to stay until im sorted yano its just demoralising sleeping on a sofa with your child week in week out, knowing he deserves better.
