I left my husband when my son was four and he is going to turn 12. My son and I were very hurt and together we met with a therapist for a little over four years.
It helped a lot in many ways, but I haven’t been able to make friends and even less go on a date.
My ex husband’s parental rights were terminated and I’m divorced, but I struggled with no child support to keep up with basics.
It’s been a struggle, but we’re healthy and my son is a book worm and we have each other. My best accomplishment has been to homeschool.
But, since this virus started we’ve been stranded in a very small town, in the US, and it’s just the basics and it’s scary.
I am writing a book, which is a sort of memoir and a great comfort.
I have no idea how to find a trustworthy agent, but this book is my silver lining.
In the mean time, I hope I can make some friends on Gingerbread because it’s pretty lonely here in Eastport, Maine.
I welcome any good ideas on how to find a good agent, because this book means a lot to me.
I waited many years to finally put the words on paper and it’s an open book, which I hope will be an inspiration to many.
