Hi I live in a village with no shop, there is a bus to town where supermarket is, I can’t get a online delivery. I have no family, and most of the people I do know are isolating or not wanting to go out.
I don’t drive and have two children age 7 and 9. We are now running really low on food. Am I OK to take them on the bus to get food.
Don’t want to put us in any risk but there is no help and we need food.
I shop once a week because of finanancel problems.
There’s no dad. we got moved area because of domestic violence 3 years ago. Any advice would be great.
Also check your local council site, and your parish mag if you have one. Look up the phone number of your local vicar, they will know who is delivering food to people who are stuck.
Also bear in mind some supermarkets aren’t letting children in, so if you do travel, can you call first to check it’s ok.
Or go on Mumsnet and put out a query to anyone who has been to that specific shop.
Try uber eat down load that to see who will deliver. My child has broken our TV. 2 hours later nothing. You can live in fear you need to be healthy and strong for your kids. Honestly you wil be fine. Take some Ruck sacks Nd stock up xx
