    hi recently fled 16 year relationship was domestic violence  left with nothing just started first tenancy and it’s going to be hard but I must do it on own for the kind fa I’m looking for help and guidance on how to get financial assistance for white goods household furniture etc any help or advice is greatly appreciated

    Hi. Have you tried the Freecycle website? You might be able to get some bits from there for free.

    My local authority has a welfare assistance scheme where you can apply for help to buy an item of white goods etc. Also local charities. Both I guess dependent on area?

    Are you receiving any support from a DV worker or organisation who could help?

    Of a lot of stuff on recycle and also we have a recycling place not far from us. The heart foundation has got good quality stuff for sale. I placed an advert and got rid of a double bed that was used 5 times and a 3 piece leather settee set

    Our borough council has a community furniture scheme where they refurb  furniture & electricals, and sell them on for a few pounds.

    You could check your local govt web site.
