    Hi all.

I haven’t posted for a while; thats not because mr right has come along swept me off my feet paid all my bills and whisked me to a dessert island πŸ˜…πŸ˜ŒπŸŒ…

I worked alot of lockdown but did end up in the jobcentre for a bit. My company has taken the time to organise refurbishment so at present I’m off for 3 weeks πŸŽ‰

Does anyone have plans for Halloween???

Our local community centre throws a child friendly party today then shamefully I think I’m on a bit of a pub crawl until karaoke sunday night.

Its my youngests Birthday on satuday 😬🀯😱 and then my eldest turns 16 in November. So partying this year is most certainly on the cards.

What does everyone else have planned??

    Do you decorate??

    Welcome trick or treaters??

Do you take your kids out or have any Halloween rituals that you do every year???

I hope your all well and look forward to some meet ups at some stage.

    πŸŽƒπŸŽ²β™₯️ Happy Halloween πŸ™ƒπŸ€ͺπŸ˜‡

This our first Halloween without the kids mum around so I’ve gone a little overboard with decorations outside with giant webs and spiders, bats and pumpkins in the trees, creepy shadows in the windows & way too many pumpkins!

My daughter is having a few friends round and we’re baking cupcakes and cookies and some savoury treats.

We get plenty of trick or treaters but once they stop we’re sitting by the firepit, having toasted marshmallows and I’ve got a Victorian ghost stories book to spook them!

    Happy Halloween πŸŽƒ

Northern Dad sounds fantastic. Great work. You deserve a prize. We need more dads like you. This is my second child-less Halloween. But there’s always next year. My kids generally go out and try to be in for people calling. Christmas will be childless two for the second year but that’s another story!!

I hope you gave a great time.

Cheers Andrew…. can’t believe I had a crowd of teenage girls in the house and everything went so well. I didn’t even think ‘ turn the music down at any point’!!

Xmas will be strange but I think as a family we’ll pull together and have a great time. I’m finding the bonds between me and the kids just getting stronger since the split. One of the positives! I guess I’m one of the lucky dads on here that has full custody. I can’t imagine how it would be otherwise. You must be a mentally tough fella, I admire that.

You both sound like very admirable men.

The Victorian ghost story book sounds right up my street.

I went out 3 nights in a row. Everytime in a form of fancy dress. On the sunday went to karaoke at the town centre pub.

It was a rare good laugh.

As you say andrew now onto the next part a childless Christmas with family and friends????
