What rights do grandparents have to contact?

Depends…. is there any reason that they shouldn’t have contact? I.e. is there a risk to the child/children’s well-being? If not, they can pursue access through family courts and will most likely be awarded some degree of contact.

They are toxic, they make up horrific lies and rumours about me. My daughter hasn’t seen her grandparents for a year but I know they will turn her against me. They are emotionally controlling and manipulative. I just don’t know how to prove this, but I don’t believe it to be in my daughter’s best interests to see them. They are extremely horrible, prejudiced and small minded people.

I am also concerned about their drinking.

Could I apply for a prohibited steps order to prevent the other parent allowing her access with them? He is currently supervised by a social worker.
