LianeParticipantIm back from my mum and stepfathers retirement pad in Portugal and wowee its grim in great britain.
So here we are the school holidays…..
Anyone else planning wine tonight?????
KathymumofoneParticipantIโm already half way down the first glass๐
SATs are done, the school play is done, prize giving is done. Just the leavers party and a church service to go. Then I can lie down in a darkened room. ๐
Happy Friday .
LianeParticipantGood on yah โ
Ive nearly polished a bottle. And popped upstairs for a rollie.
After 8 years of not smoking crazily bought a pack of ciggies so i didnt feel like a ponce.
Im not smoking much.
This is my first chuff on a rollie since back from Portugal.
TeaandcakeParticipantMy daughter still has two days of school, then the holidays begin. As much as she’s my world, I’m kind of dreading it cos she demands my attention the whole time! She is virtually incapable of entertaining herself and I have almost no help from anyone for respite. โน Her dad is working all the 6 weeks. ๐
LianeParticipantI have 3 kids, so the 6 weeks holidays are always packed with them and each other.
As a kid we used to have EOW with our mum and the 6 weeks involved nans, games galore and various summer camps that mum had found via the county council website.
Gingerbread used to hire a coach for Thorpe Park which broke it up.
I love seeing everyone pull together over the 6 weeks. Crafts, coluring, baking until theres no more. As long as the pantries full ๐จโ๐ณ๐ฉโ๐ณ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐ฅ
Dont be alone
LianeParticipantIm in bed now watching the Amy Winehouse story, channel 5.
When she was alive me and my kids dad saw her live at Glastonbury festival in 2008.
Such a sad waste of talent ๐ฅ
A few of my secondary school pals used to go to the sylvia young drama groups. Not the main school but the weekend ones.
Theres still stuff like that about ๐ญ
LianeParticipantI hope everyone had a lovely weekend. I done the last carboot sale of summer and went to my sisters for a family BBQ.
Have a nice week everyone.
๐๐๐๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐ค๐โ
BGParticipantHave just joined Gingerbread, have to say Liane, Iโm already loving your positive attitude and honesty ๐คฉ
(Love AW too, actually cried when I heard the sad news)
Hi Everyone ๐๐ป
LianeParticipantThanks, thanks BC.
I was beginning to feel a bit like ‘my post, my dwelling’, scenario so the response is appreciated ๐
Im Essex based but check out the gingerbread groups in your area.
Hows Guildford for the weather this week???
Its scorching in essex. Ive been in an air conditioned room most of the day but its enhanced the excuse for a tan top up.
BGParticipantGlorious Guildford Liane, the weather has been Gorgeous! Had friends and their kids here today which broke the day up ๐๐ป Just about to walk my two dogs, now itโs cooler, then a large G&T I think! Hope your evening is a good one… x
BGParticipantPs: everything is better with a tan๐ x
LianeParticipantLol…..
I’m quite looking forward to this storm they keep promising.
All week I’ve been back working nights but I’m off tomorrow. Ive been planning a day at the local park but really wondering now how hard its gonna rain.
Im over in Kent on saturday so need to check my cars oil, coolant etc.
Hows everyone else coping with this weather???
BGParticipantI actually love the weather! YAY!
I know a lot of people donโt, but obviously weโre just not used to it are we!
My dogs HATE it, they donโt even want to chase a ball at the moment, I have now bought a little paddling pool for them to cool down in!
Enjoy the storm…. If it comes!
LianeParticipantJust came to say good evening all.
A busy weekend this weekend funny enough finishing with a Dog show on Sunday.
What type of dogs do you have?
BGParticipantMorning all,
Hope all is good in your world ๐
Where abouts is the dog show Liane? Should be a good day out!
We have a handsome 9 year old Springer! And a beautiful 2 year old Dachshund! Theyโre both so different, but equally wonderful, theyโre mine and my Sonโs world… My Mum always said โyouโll never be lonely with a dog aroundโ She isnโt wrong!
