    morning all,

I have an issue already at 7 weeks pregnant! I live on my own on 3rd floor with no lift access. I have gone to my housing and they have told me as I have two bedrooms i will not be considered as needing rehousing even once ive had the baby. I know its early days but I’ve tried my citizens advice as well and they weren’t any help, also tried applying to other housing and not heard anything. Im not sure who to contact. Im just concerned as I get further along i wont be able to get up three flights of stairs, i could fall and risk the baby, even then its born how am I going to bring the pram, baby and shopping up them stairs?

As I said early days but im trying to make things as easy and efficient as I can, however no one seems to want to consider health and safety. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Could you contact your local MP I had issues with a property I was in when I was pregnant as like you it wasnt appropriate and was persistent in requesting his help, which fortunately he did eventually and I was moved to another property.

In fact I didn’t even think, they were allowed to house you in a 3rd floor property :/ only 1st floor as like you say there is a health and safety risk for the child, I would stress this when you email them.

    Hope this helps.
