I am mother of one,, black female, 31. I had my daughter using donor sperm, and she is almost 2, I am looking to talk to likeminded people.

I feel alone a lot of the time, I know there are plenty of parents out there that went down a similar route to conceive their child/childern.

I would just love to talk to someone that can relate, and just feel a little less alone. That being said, I have a great support network from friends and family.

However, it would be lovely to talk and share with likeminded parents in or around London. So anyone out there think the same or in the same boat?

    Hi Shawna,

I am a solo mum by choice I saw your post thought I might answer. I hope you are well. I live in the West Midlands so it’s abit far from London. But, like you I have had some difficulty meeting other solo mums by choice in my local area. I have heard of quite alot living in London area though. There are some ways to meet other SMBCs you could try the Donor Conception Network they have forum. I used to be a member and it was ok. But, there wasn’t many people from my area on there. You also have to pay a subscription charge. There is also Facebook groups like Solo mums by choice UK. It might be worth looking at. Anyway I hope you are ok and little one is fine.
