Currently going through the process of separating from my partner. Our daughter receives DLA, and has a bank account in her name that we both have access to where that money is and will continue to go. I will be the main care giver for our daughter. He is saying he still wants access to the account, I don’t think he should have as she lives mostly with me and it is her money anyway not ours. Her DLA is not used for day to day things, more for expenses when she has hospital visits and hospital stays (which I will attend with her), we bought her a disability pushchair with it, things like that. So am I right to think only I should have access to her bank account?
