    Hello,

The father of my 23 month old daughter has just told me he tested positive with coronavirus today.

my daughter spent Friday – Sunday with him.

Can anyone please point me in the direction of where I can find information about whether my daughter and myself need to isolate too?

When he dropped her off I wasn’t near him as we were in the garden and he wasn’t near me.

My daughter is the link between us as she spent the 2 nights with him when he said he had symptoms (but I wasn’t aware)

    Thank you

    x

    hi,

I think you should get your child tested ASAP. if she does not have covid then I don’t think you should isolate. but your ex will have to isolate and should stay away from child until he gets better.

We have done this in our house when I tested positive. (I was asymptomatic. It can happen, doing work pcr tests)

Track and trace is 10 days isolation for anybody in contact with positive person when they are ill or within 48 hours of falling ill. That would mean the little one.

She does not need to test and at 23 weeks old it would be nasal swab only but would not put her through it unless needs must.

If she develops symptoms then she would need testing.

You would only need to isolate for 10 days if little one tests positive.  If little one gets ill I would call the covid advice line over testing as could see it being stressful though over in seconds for a baby

Make sure he tells track and trace he has been with your daughter. If you need time of work you need the notification of them to show work, to apply for financial covid grant if elegiable fo you loose income and meet the criteria.

    Hope that helps.
