Has anyone else got a boyfriend and feeling you’d rather have them stay in your household during this period?

I’ve been seeing someone for a few months and we’re now both not working having been furloughed due to the closures governments put in place. I’ve got the kids 5 days a week, he has met them and they’ve responded really well. Id really like to have him around during this tricky time of homeschooling, staying in, one person supermarket trips (how does s single parent do that??)

But I’m also supported by benefits,.. so if he stays during the lockdown do I have to report it? I’m not inviting him to moving in full time, I’m not even giving him a key!! It would only be a temporary measure, for support during these circumstances.

    Hi Petal,
Short answer is – what’s best for your children?
However nice it might be to have the other side of the bed warm – a lot of us are feeling that! – it might not be the right thing to do.
If you and your children aren’t showing any symptoms, you should keep the status quo.
It’s going to be a while, but we’ll last 🙂
