Iam a single mum of one, I do 16 hours my work is still paying me but my ex says he can’t pay maintenance I’ve had to continue pay nursery up until this week.
im panicking because im down on my rent I’ve got food in but as people don’t like children in the shops and I have no one help me I’ve been using local small shops which do cost more my money has just slipped away is there any help even tho I’m still getting paid I’m about 60 pound down on my 525 rent
I do know there is a thing about rent but I wouldn’t like to not pay it I also have a iva so I have experienced what it’s like to struggle im really good with my money just my ex ran me debt up.
I did think I’d be ok cus I’d be getting his maintenance but as per he isn’t getting paid 🙄
Hi. Well you don’t have the money so it’s best if you just tell the landlord. I’m sure the landlord would be pleased to accept some money rather than nothing at all.. Are you worried that the landlord will evict you for being £60 short?
I would not worry about this as you need to think about providing food & stability during these dark times. Good luck
Don’t panic, Kellie.
Ring and talk to your Landlord, first.
Do that tomorrow morning. It really is the first and most important thing you should do.
Be honest. Tell him what you’ve told us. That conversation is going to be important to you, because however it goes, you will know where you stand financially in regards to your biggest monthly outlay which understandably is the one thing you’re most worried about.
There’s help coming from the Government, for pretty much all of us. It’s just going to take time, as it always does.
Meantime I’ll say again – don’t panic.
No-one in this country is going to be chucked out of their home while this situation lasts. That you can be assured of.
Thank you yes it’s first on my to do list I was going ring today but realised it’s a Sunday!! Lol n I don’t think it’s so much he’ll evict me it’s just it’s someones living n tbh would hate to run a back log up I need to pay once this is over I don’t have a great lot to live on in normal circumstances thanks for both ur advice xx
