I am in a tricky situation. Mum to 2 girls 6 and 9. Separated from husband a year ago. He was having the girls 2 days a week since the lock down came into force but I found out that he has temporarily moved into his girlfriends home and was coming back to his flat to see our girls and then moving back with gf. We have only known for a few weeks he is seeing someone else, and he hasn’t told the girls anything about her. They haven’t met her yet and don’t even know her name, so it would not be appropriate for them to visit his temp home.

My interpretation of the rules is that he shouldn’t be moving between properties but I have said this to him and I haven’t heard from him for 10 days. I have asked if the girls can face time him and he is just ignoring me.

I’m really not sure what is acceptable around him seeing girls in these circumstances. I don’t want to prevent contact but want to keep us all as safe as possible.

    Please help!

    Hi Doresetmummy

That’s my understanding that you need to be at your permanent address and only seeing those who live at your property, doing essential travel and work.

No contact for 10 days would suggest he agrees with your decision to postpone contact?

I would be concerned too with the back and forth between houses. You both will want the children to be safe as the virus is affecting children too.
