So since myself and the children’s father have split he has brought a couple of items of clothing for each child as he asked if they needed anything…also Christmas him and his family brought clothes which was the only thing that come to the children’s home. All toys etc dad kept at his. Problem is dad and his family buy clothes which are too small, now when the children stay with him my clothes which fit are not always returned. I’ve asked so many times for them to be returned which they aren’t always and now he has made a states that he can demand all the clothes back him and his family have brought the children since we split! Is this correct? I thought items belong to the child not who brought it?

I normally pack the clothes he or his parents have brought for them anyway! So yes normally a bit tight….! It’s just hard when the older one chooses to what to wear!

I have given him some spare clothes too and pack the bare minimum!

Yeah was gonna say same as Anonymous. If clothes dont fit then that’s no use at all.

Are they able to return any they bought at christmas?

I returned some things grandparents gave the boys and got bigger/an alternative item apart from pjs where the older boy pulled the label off! Oh well in time the younger one will wear!

i just didn’t know whether he could demand clothes he brought for them or just to give them to him and say keep them at yours!

Hi not sure on that one. Never have that as my boy is being brought up by me, his Dad doesn’t want to know.

He surely must know clothes dont fit and as they belong to the kids they dont really have to be at yours or his specifically they just have to have clothes to wear both places i guess
