My ex left his job at the beginning of the summer and has missed my last maintenance payment.  He is looking for new work now.  The CMO have said he doesn’t need to pay as he’s not working.  I’m so frustrated as he left his old job voluntarily, his new partner is financially well off I believe, and has absolved himself of financial responsibility for his 3 kids.

Had anyone been in a similar situation.  The CMO just suggested contacting the Citizens Advice.

I’ve been trying to get child maintenance since 2014 for my 3 children ,, only 5months ago he finally went to court ,, he owes my children just over 5 grand… even tho he owes all that !! Also he has to pay is £150 a month in which my kids only get £100 of that as it’s  …something to do with liberty order,, last 2 payments have only been £50 !! The thing that winds me up as I’m a single mum who works 34 hrs a wk I have a lot of health conditions but I still have to go work when I I’m so much pain because I carnt afford time of !! N him he’s got his own Business. His wife is a nurse.. he drive an Audi Convertible.., goes abroad 4 to 5 time a year for 2 to 3wks atime!!! I really don’t understand how child Maintenance let these men get away with it

That sounds so frustrating Roberta sorry you’re having to go through all that. I’ve decided to just leave it as he’s looking for work and will just have to manage in the meantime. Don’t want to waste any energy on thinking about him or feeling resentment.
