    Hi all,

    first time post here 🙂

I hope your all well during these crazy times that are upon us.

I’ve tried researching this but I can’t find any info that helps. I split with my children’s mother 20 months ago after she met someone else and have always paid maintenance of £550 a month on the basis I see my girls every other weekend.

During lockdown since the start of April I’ve had them every other weekend still but from the Sunday morning through to the Thursday evening. As i’m having them more do I still pay the same amount as my costs are obviously going up. If I do then that’s fine, but I wanted to check.

Also (whilst I’m here) I no longer live local to my girls, about 30 min drive away so not too far. Is there an official way the travel arrangements work? I’ve always been the one to collect the girls and take them back, I would like to go to a shared agreement, ideally whoever has the children in their care does the driving but I’m not sure she would agree to this. I could be and hope I am wrong but based on our past of her not being the most reasonable.

    Thanks in advance.

You can notify the Cms that you are having them more, but i notified the Cms on the 19th March and nothing has happened yet, so don’t hold your breath.

Also i think you said that you moved away…so are you sure that your ex is being the unreasonable one in expecting things not to change?

And as if by magic i got a reply today from CMS saying that no changes to maintenance would be done because covid19 is a temporary change…you try finding the definition of temporary though.
