    Hi there,

The “father” of my child has never acknowledged my child or contributed in anyway. He is in another European country. I have tried several times to get open communication. My child has requested they speak but he ignores.

It has been 8 years of doing it alone, I feel he should offer something and acknowledge my child too.

How would this work with someone abroad and denying our existence?
    Thanks for any opinions 👋

Is it not the same way it works in uk?

You can force the parent living with the kids to give them up for contact or sleepovers or whatever but you can’t force a parent to see a child if they don’t fancy.Like you can’t force a parent to pay maintenance of they’re going to cheat and lie about it.

To my uneducated eye it appears the importance of ‘rights’ far outweigh ‘obligations’ or ‘responsibility’.
