I live in Shrewsbury and my 6 year old daughter lives over 100 miles away in Lincolnshire with my ex wife and her partner, am I allowed to travel by train to see my daughter, also if I am allowed am I able to hold her because I don’t live in the same household or will we have to stay 2 meters apart?

Ive read the social distancing rules, it says a child can travel between parents houses but it doesn’t say anything about the live away parent being able to visit their child, I haven’t seen her since February and she is begging me to visit but I don’t know if Im allowed or not

    Any help will be appreciated

    Thanks

    Go and see your daughter.
It pains me just reading it. Go and see her, but before hand think about/talk to your ex about how you can minimise risk.
