Hi all does anyone feel like they are in groundhog day. I’m so bored of having the same day everyday. Anyone have any ideas on what to do with a 9month old boy. We dont really have anyone to do things with so its just me and him. Thanking you25 June 2020 at 9:30 pm #41668
I’m racking my brain for this one it’s been years since my son was that age (12 to be exact)
When he was sitting up I put a saucepan in front of him and a wooden spoon.
Babies are always learning so whether its mealtime or bath time I’m sure he loves it all.
They are also busy learning vocabulary so the more you talk to him the better 😀
It is hard though when you are in lockdown and everywhere is shut27 June 2020 at 9:08 pm #41752
Thankyou for replying. I put some sauce pans out for him. He enjoyed it. He loves banging things and making noises. It is tough. I keep worrying that hes bored because I’m bored lol I do try and talk a lot but I’m so used to being by myself sometimes I go quiet and don’t realise.27 June 2020 at 10:04 pm #41757
How are you doing? Its the same feeling for me my son is 2 and esp during this lockdown our days are pretty much the same. I realise most days that he hardly plays with any toys he just likes pottering around the house kind of doesnt stick his attention on something for too long
Your doing fab and sometimes something simple will fascinate them at the age your little boy is at. Make him laugh, funny faces, my son liked me doing the hoovering and he also used to clear under the bed.flannels everywhere ahha. They generally will take a shine to something1 July 2020 at 6:48 am #41864
Hi gingey28. I’m ok thankyou just really bored! Super lonely haha. In groundhog day! How are you doing and your little one? My boy does like the mop haha1 July 2020 at 8:39 am #41865
Hey tbh yes same my weeks are the same pretty much. I work 3 days a week and my son goes nursery so when off have to figire out what to do. Weather not reliable and nowhere rly to take him. I have managed to avoid takimg him shops whole lockdown as my mum has had him or i do as and when can all in one once a week
Aaah they love helping clean it fascinates them more than toys ahha. What ur plans today then? And your not on your own my son is 2 and he gets fed up on one thing. Not like he us at nursery he engages with other children
Another grim day…now we in July…did we even have a summer 😎1 July 2020 at 10:00 pm #41901
All I’ve done today is try and entertain my boy and see to his routine of the day and inbetween play, feeds and meal times I cook, clean, walk the dog twice, shower and now bed haha it’s the same everyday for me I feel like I’m going insane Haha aww that’s good you had your mum to watch him… I get really anxious taking my little one anywhere indoors. How is your son coping with the new way of life at the moment?
Do we ever have a summer haha1 July 2020 at 10:38 pm #41903
Thats a busy day for you but you sound like you got the routine sorted and thats Brill. It really helps but yes i get you with that comes the same everyday feeling.
My son has been fine to be honest. He does love the shops but just don think its worth taking him with all the queueing and distancing have to observe cant expwct a 2 yr old to comply and be happy so its best i go round quick on my own
Summer yas been weird May was fab it the June was awful but we get intense sun and then wet windy cold
I find days are pretty samey. I went for a walk and a drive today but my son was not always happy few tantrums along the way haha. His favourite word is no 🤦♀️😁1 July 2020 at 10:41 pm #41904
Hope you get chance to relax in your day, i find even a cuppa and sit is chance enough here and then. Grab each second you can. Your a great Mum you got the routine sorted and it is tough but your son is looked after well and thats all that matters. Be kind to yourself treat yourself as often as you can it helps4 July 2020 at 7:50 pm #42008

Aww hope your both ok. I think I need a weekend by the beach or something I just feel like I need cheering up lately. Can you recommend anywhere? I’m thinking a caravan park place or something. At least that way I can still have own space away from others
