I need a rant as don’t know any other single parents…
My sons dad has always been a waste of space and not bothered with our son. Before lockdown even started he was straight away refusing to take him for his 1 day that he sees him in a fortnight. I said for our mental health we both need a break so would prefer he took him for even a walk for an hour but he then got nasty with me saying I’m terrible for risking his sons life . He was just jumping on the chance not to have him. Then lockdown happened and Ive not heard from him and know I won’t for weeks yet.
I’m just writing this though because I’m ANGRY! I’m at home trying to be mum, maid, teacher, work from home, run a business and be entertainer while his dad’s sat at home doing nothing and not giving a 2nd thought to his son. I know I should expect it by now really cos he’s always been like this but I just needed a rant. It’s not even the fact he isn’t having him at this crazy Corona filled time, it’s just once again everything falls to me. Hoping I’m not the only one feeling like this!
No, you aren’t the only one. My ex saw our son on Sunday. As he was leaving, he said he wouldn’t be coming again until after Corona is sorted, because he’s not prepared to take the risk. He was sure I could cope. !
Roughly translated means he is too scared and too selfish to see his own child. And he didn’t even have the guts to explain it to his son himself. I haven’t ever felt such contempt for anyone. Completely bloody spineless.
