Hi everyone I have a question about child Maintenance. My ex is MD of a Company and is paying most of his wages into his new wife’s bank account to avoid paying for his 2 children. Has anyone else had this happen to them? What can I do?

He is currently renting a £2000 PCM house, Caribbean Holidays, BMW cars and flashing his cash, it makes me so angry as my family have to help me with food and clothes for them.

I have got the CMS involved but the money is not showing in his taxes????

In order to avoid paying maintenance he would have to put his wages through his wife’s name so she would have to be an employee of the company, it doesn’t matter which bank account it’s paid into really.  All wage information is now submitted straight away to the HMRC.  If you feel he is doing this and is essentially living beyond his means the CMS can ask him how he is managing to do all these things on the money he earns and he will have to prove it, i have done this with my ex.  Alternatively you can report him to the HMRC for not paying tax on all his earnings, they can investigate him something i have also done.  You will have to keep chasing them though because the CMS are worse than useless.
