    Hi folks,

After an 18 month court battle, in June I was finally awarded contact with my beautiful little daughter. So I now have her every Friday from 1000-1900 (have changed working hours to accommodate).

I spent the first few months getting her used to my home, my friends and the park. We have been lucky in so much as a lot of Fridays have been half decent weather and so we have been out exploring.

Conscious that the nights are drawing in and the weather is due to get miserable. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas about parent/child activity centres (ideally ones open all year round, not just school holidays)? My little girl has siblings at her mother’s house but conscious that when she is with me, it is just daddy. My little girl is 20 months old. I’m getting used to being a dad again (loving every minute… except when the food ends up on the floor!!) Would be nice to mingle with other parents in a similar boat. Added bonus if anyone happens to know of anything in the Ely/Soham area of Cambs? I don’t use any of the social media platforms so figured this might be a good starting point! Any generic pointers would be most welcome! Cheers

Hi Steve 1986, I’m sure you’d make contact with other parents on here soon. Meanwhile, I just wanted to let you know about our Cambridgeshire Single Parents Group Cambridgeshire – Gingerbread
