Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice. I’m 36, I work part time, I have 3 sons aged 14,15 &16…my eldest is in college, and is off to harrogate military college in march, I’ve just found out I’m pregnant. I’m not in a relationship, with the father of this baby ..he is actually a friend. He said he will support the baby. I’m jst worried, I know I’m not entitled to extra tax credits, due to the cap…nor do i expect it..i jst wondered if i am entitled to child benefit for this baby? My children are getting older now, im living in a rented property… I dont know what to do, I’m so concerend and feel so stupid and alone. I’m still in shock. I can’t Bare to end the pregnancy, I had a mortifying experience years ago ending a pregnancy. I could never do that again. Heartbreaking! I’m jst unsure what help I will recieve. Or what to say to the HMRC? Im so embarrassed..I don’t mind if I have to work more hours etc. Has anyone else been in a similar situation?

Hi loui13, I’ve moved your post up so others see it. Meanwhile, here is some information on our website I think you will find useful: Maternity – Gingerbread
