    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice.

My child’s father recently asked his school to be put down as an emergency contact on the school system. There are already four contacts on there.

Brief background – father hasn’t wanted to see our son for over 18 months now and he lives about an hour and a half away. The school said I will need a court order stating that he is not to be a contact for the school? If by any chance the first four contacts do not answer and he is called I feel it would have a massive impact on my son who is currently under CAMHS for suicidal thoughts because of his fathers treatment to him in the past.

Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Also, there is already a contact order in place and has been for the past approx. 10 years which his father does not follow and I was given full residency.

    Thanks

If there is a cao in place and as such he has parental responsibilitymy the school is correct that this is his right. Indeed he could ask to be second contact quite legitimately.
