from my experience, they would not grant you every weekend, unless your ex agrees to it. every other weekend is common arrangement. I started off with every other weekend, and a few hours after school on a wednesday. I returned to court for 2nd time due to trouble making from ex and me wanting more time with kids. I think what will likely happen is they may start things slowly, like child spend 1 night with you, every other weekend. Then full weekends when child turns 3 perhaps. also once child starts nursery, courts tend to give mid-week overnights.
I currently have one Saturday night every other weekend, but want one night every weekend (alternate Friday and Saturdays). I also currently have one hour contact every Tuesday and Thursday at the former matrimonial home. In addition to one night every weekend, I would now also like a Tuesday evening for tea and a Thursday night stop over every week. I am also seeking 3 weeks holiday, two of which to be taken together (14 nights). What are my chances do you think? What do you think I would get?

I think what your seeking is reasonable. my arrangements are fri-mon every other week, and a mon night every other week. I did ask court for an extra day during the half term holidays, but they said they expect both parents to be flexible and reasonable (LOL). so whenever I ask ex for extra day, she refuses. have 1 week in Easter, Xmas. 2 weeks in summer. They might give you 3 weeks in summer, no harm in asking.
if your ex is like mine and can not bear to be without the the kids for more than 3 days straight, then I think you will have hard time getting full 2 weeks in a row for holidays. I am happy to get 7 nights in a row. I would also suggest you think of the special occassions, like what happens on childs birthday, xmas day etc. could look at sharing, do half day, lunch at yours, kids have dinner at ex. You can try your luck and ask for 50/50 🙂
